History: This is the first studio album Shania, and called her name. It is not clear why the album was given its name. Although Twain noted, first of all, because of its author’s talent on this disc has got only one song co-written by she spoke, – “God Ain’t Gonna Getcha For That”. Album totally not display the identity of the singer, so it is not surprising that it has not been successful. The first two singles have not risen above the 55th position in the chart of Billboard, and the album by the end of 1993 was not sold even a circulation of 250,000 copies. Shania moved away from the music scene in Nashville, as due to the failure of the album felt guilty and even almost lost interest in country music. But at Fan Fair in 1993, she met with the producer, who not only gives her the freedom to create, but also asks for her hand. This creative and personal union is displayed in all subsequent studies singer.

NB! In 1993, the United States and Canada, the album was released with a color cover, which featured some savage Shania standing near the fire in the company of wolves. In 2000, the album, thanks to the worldwide success of the album “Come On Over”, was re-released for the world to black and white cover. Disk content is identical. The only difference is in the design.

History: This album has many critics have called “honey.” It was written in the first year of life Shania and Mutt Lang. Together they traveled and wrote. Their honeymoon was stretched for a year, and although the album is not much reflects this period, Twain decided that the name of The Woman In Me is best suited to describe its then state.
Almost all the songs of this disc written Shania and Mutt co-except “Leaving Is The Only Way Out”, penned by Twain, and “You Win My Love”, which was written by Lang.
Starting with this album Shania is at odds with the rules of country music and Nashville. 12 tracks on the disc, not 10, as adopted by country musicians (more Shania will be even more generous in this respect). The album also angered many. On the main cover of Shania looks disheveled village girl (which is familiar to Nashville), and on the back where Twain glamorous. Rustic paraphernalia, such as hats, shirts, jeans and cowboy boots is preserved, but Twain shirt tied at the waist and belly button is visible – so to Twain than one country star did not let herself look like. Keeping up with the times the singer begins to change the conservatism of this style not only in the usual way for people of country stars, but also in music. Most of the songs on that disc-style country-rock. This impact is already being felt Matta – he, above all, a rock producer.
As a result of work done hard work, talent, writers, singer and producer, this album became a mega-success in his time. Speaking about his success, Twain said she thought: if the album gets going with a circulation of three million (usually the stars of country album sales do not exceed this limit), then it will be good, it will be the limit of the possible. The singer could not imagine that the album will be as much a success! He took first place in the charts, but the most important has reached the fifth row. From 8 4 singles reached number one in the country charts (it’s “Any Man Of Mine”, “(If You’re Not In It For Love) I’m Outta Here!”, “You Win My Love” and ” No One Needs To Know “). In 1996, Twain received a Grammy for the disc in the nomination “The best album in the style of country music.” In 1997, the album received the status of the most successful female country-style album in the history of music, being sold over 12 million copies, which is 4 times higher than all expectations singer. It seemed above his head did not jump, but it turns out you can.

Singles: Love Gets Me Every Time, Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You), You’re Still The One, When, Honey, I’m Home, From This Moment On, That Don’t Impress Me Much, Man! I Feel like A Woman!, You’ve Got A Way, Come On Over, Rock ThisCountry!, I’m Holdin ‘On To Love (To Save My Life).
History: After promotion previous disc, Shania immediately recorded and released a new album. Initially, the singer wanted to call it No Inhibitions (without restrictions), as the song says “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!”, But the title Come On Over (Come to the light) Shania considered more friendly.
At the beginning of the fate of the disc evolved unsuccessful. In the first week after its release, has sold only 172,000 copies. All considered it a failure and the cause of that was that very little time has passed since the glory of the previous disc has died down. But the start of the first single “Love Gets Me Every Time” in the charts has been extremely successful. And after the release of “You’re Still The One” album started to gain momentum. He did not take first place in the charts, but the songs one after another became hits, though, too, and did not reach the peaks of musical tables. Hit number one in the country music charts were “Love Gets Me Every Time”, “You’re Still The One” and “Honey, I’m Home”, in fourth place stopped “Man! I Feel Like A Woman!” and in the top ten included “Don’t Be Stupid (You Know I Love You)” (6), “That Don’t Impress Me Much” (8), “From This Moment On” (6), and “Come On Over” (6). I remember the audience not only songs, but also interesting clips Twain, and vivid images, such as the girl in a leopard-print dress, which is not interested in smart, beautiful and rich, and the seductress in a short black skirt and corset close, wanting to dance, not novels start.
The album was released in two basic versions. Thus Shania expanded its fans. Again helped Matt. This album has been done in the style of rock and country music in North America and the rock-pop for the international market.
In support of this disc Twain first went on tour, and performed not only in Canada and the U.S., but even in Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom. In support of the previous album Shania tour did not give, and rumor had it that she can not sing live. All prejudices about her singing abilities were dispelled, and in the future, all just delighted energetic live performances and colorful extravaganza show, again, do not like country music stars of the show. Method of concerts Shania took from rock musicians: there are many light and pyrotechnic effects, energy (after all, country music singers do not jump all over the stage and not “lit”), but communication with the public, a very gentle attitude towards it, Shania borrowed from country music.
With this album, Twain has achieved even greater heights than the previous one, despite the “sleepy” era of Come On Over: she gained superstar status, status as an international star, got 4 more Grammy (in 1999: “The best song in the style of the country” and “Best female vocals in the style of country music “for” You’re Still The One “, 2000:” The best song in the style of the country “for” Come On Over “and” Best Female Vocalist in the style of the country “for” Man! I Feel Like A Woman “) and a bunch of other awards, starred in commercials Revlon, and her song” Man! I Feel Like A Woman! ” and the image of this video become the hallmark of the campaign, and in the end, Come On Over acquired the status of best-selling female album in history – it is now 20 times platinum in the U.S., but only in the world sold over 34 million copies of this disc. Thus, Come On Over, not only caught up, but surpassed the success of The Woman In Me.

Single: It’s Alright
History: This is not an album recorded Shania Twain, and a collection of old records (1989-1990 gg.), Made long before signing with the label, Mercury Records. This CD is released due to the huge success of the album Come On Over. He – the only official collection of this kind. Before and after his release came out a huge number of such discs. All of them underground, or as they say in Russia, the pirate. They have a variety of names since the use of the names of songs, ending over some poetic phrases like On The Way and Among My Souvenirs. Everywhere Twain used his voice, the same songs, but the arrangements were changed.
The Complete Limelight Sessions spun through a remix for the song “It’s Alright”. This is the only song Twain, which became chart Hot Dance Club Play magazine Billboard. The album entered the charts Top Country Albums (highest point, which he achieved was the 43th) and the Top Independent Albums (23th place) all of the same magazine Billboard.
For the majority of this album is unusual. Buying it, often people hope for something in the style of her studio albums, but this is a demo recording (and it’s obvious when listening), it is felt that they were written a long time (writing style issues), and the style of this album is not country and not pop-rock or rock-pop, which makes Shania studio albums, and something of a rock ‘n’ roll and heavy metal, and even the voice of Twain here sounds strange. So do not confuse it with the other albums. This disc is not produced by Mutt Lange and do not let the label Mercury Records.
In January 2007, the right holder, who owned the rights to the exclusive licensed material with songs that are included earlier in this album, put up for auction eBay every available master tapes, LPs, CDs, and photos recorded and made in the period from 1989 to 1990 . All that was available on eBay, and one is not a fan of poor Shania Twain could buy from this collection that he needed. Who is now the proud owner of these rarities, known as the name of the past.

History: After a noisy campaign, which was accompanied by the release of Come On Over, and the tour, Shania took a long vacation. For 2 years she has had time to move, to become a mother, loved to drink plenty of hot chocolate, ride a horse, in short, have a rest and then get to work. And then there was an event that changed upside down view of many people of the world – 11. Shania was at his home in Switzerland at the time. Her newborn son was not even a month old. This event affected the future vision of the singer of his work. She wanted to give up, seeing no point in the music, if the world is such a horrible thing. Matt’s wife returned to reality – there was a tragedy, but it’s not the end of everything. Moreover, people need support, and that, if not the music, can support them in this period?
Shania chose the album title is not accidental. Song Up!, Titled it, says: “When things go wrong, do not worry: it will not last long.” It was positive – the underlying message that carries this disc.
The album was released in three versions and is sold in boxes of two discs: green (country) + Red (pop-rock) and red (pop-rock) + Blue (Indo-Roman style).
The magazine Rolling Stone album Up! gave 4 stars out of five. Being sold over 874,000 copies in its first week, it debuted at number one on the Billboard charts and stayed on top for five weeks.
The first single from the album “I’m Gonna Getcha Good!” enjoyed modest success in the charts, but in Europe it is spun in a version of pop-rock, and has won its audience. Subsequent singles are not bad too occupied positions in a variety of musical tables.
Shania Twain went on tour again, in order to reinforce the success of the album. Of course, there was a string of awards, but a Grammy for the CD Shania was not awarded.
To date, the album sold over 5.5 million copies in the United States of America (RIAA approved organization 11 times platinum makes it possible for the rules regarding double albums), and 17 million copies worldwide. Twain was the first woman in music history to have three albums, one after another reached the status of a diamond.
